DIFFUSED LIGHTING - 2 Juvenile Canada Geese forage in the grass during a light rain at William R Mason Regional Park. There were 10 goslings there in total, and I found this to be a great photographic opportunity. The cloudy coverage creates a nice, even lighting, including on the shadowy underbelly and eyes. This photo is cropped a little bit landscape in order to account for the horizontal profile of the birds. It does not follow the rule of odds, which states that it is better in general to include an odd number of subjects in frame, since it is hard to balance an even number. However, since one of the birds is predominantly featured and the other is a bit sidelined, the photo is still adequately balanced and pleasing to look at.
